General Overview
Star Island is an exclusive community in Miami Beach. Nestled along the turquoise waters of Biscayne Bay, it offers upscale living amidst South Florida’s breathtaking beauty. Located east of Hibiscus Island and south of the Venetian Islands, the community is linked via the MacArthur Causeway to the city and nearby attractions like South Beach and Downtown Miami.

A short history of Star Island
Star Island was developed as a resort town for the City of Miami Beach with the construction of the railway in Miami-Dade County in the early 20th century. Local government officials and engineers improved the area by draining marshes, leveling existing islands, and making new ones. Star Island was built in 1922 through sand dredging.
The island’s earliest owner was real estate developer and automobile entrepreneur Carl Fisher, who took a shine to Miami Beach and helped turn it into a destination for vacationers and highway motorists.
