South Miami - The Community
Located just three miles south of the city of Miami and adjacent to Coral Gables, the University of Miami and Pinecrest, South Miami offers home buyers one of the most vibrant downtown centers in Miami along with beautiful parks, a lovely variety of homes and one of the best locations in the area.
At the junction of Red Road and Sunset Drive, you’ll find a bustling urban oasis filled with a wide variety of shops and restaurants as well as Sunset Place, a popular shopping center and movie theater. This downtown area is continuing to expand with a recently completed Whole Foods and new office space and retail centers.
Houses and housing prices vary a great deal in South Miami as does the architecture. You can find anything from acre-plus lots west of US1 with a rural feel (there are even some barns, with horses, less than a mile from the city center) to newer-construction homes, townhouses and condominiums within easy walking distance of downtown.
